Rugby player
Personal training: I thought to myself, I am not utilizing the potential in my body for my
step up into seniors Division 1 rugby. I gave Arron a call one day to see what he could do
for me, and I saw that the two biggest changes I needed to make were consistency in my diet
(hitting my macros, up the protein!!) and to be training with a program that works around my
work where I get the full advantage from my sessions and my recovery.
My two main aims when we began this journey were a 100kg Bench Press after a major shoulder injury,
and to become consistent and comfortable in what I do in the gym. I do 3 gym days and a plyometrics
day to help with my rugby.
My biggest issue was diet consistency, I ate too much fatty foods and was not eating enough protein
for the amount I was training. I sat with Arron and went through my weekly intake. Arron countered
this with a meal plan that came with suggestions and websites to look for to tailor the meal plan to
my busiest days and preferences.
My first power phase came 4 months after I started with Arron in January. And I was so happy with the
results, 105kg Bench Press, 165kg Squat and 190kg Conv Deadlift. None of this would have been
possible had I not joined Arron, the program he made for me did originally feel like a slow process,
but I saw so much strength build up in a short period of time.
If I am able to keep consistent with silly summer season upon us and my dynamic working times, I am
really hoping to join the 500kg club over my three compound lifts. None of this progress would have
been possible without Arron, and his attention to minor details is brilliant.
